Windy City SAS® Users Group

a Chicago Area SAS® Users Group

wcsug is back!

WCSUG is the premiere SAS® Users Group for the Greater Chicagoland Area. Our group caters to SAS® users of all types, and experience levels, from working professionals, to students. We are an all-volunteer organization, run by a leadership team, and set of officers, that possess a unique set of technical and industry experience.

After being on hiatus for a little while, our group is meeting again. Through our meetings, our members can network with SAS® users, and access SAS® resources, including career opportunities, training opportunities, and learn about SAS® products. To promote the exchange of technical ideas, our meetings feature technical presentations on relevant SAS® topics.

We hold meetings in several different formats, and time periods. Our events include webinars and in person networking.

We encourage you to explore our meeting formats, and attend our meetings. In 2016 we are considering an annual educational conference or learning event with multiple speakers and presentations.

We also work lead the other groups around the Chicago area. The Schaumburg Group, Northern Illinois (Lake Cook Rd).

The mission of the Windy City SAS® User Group (WCSUG) is to build collaborative professional relationships within the Chicago Metropolitan SAS® user community. Our group serves as a forum for SAS® users of all types including SAS® developers, programmer/analysts, business analysts, SAS® administrators, statisticians, and modelers, and other information technology and analytic professionals.

Evening Social/Networking

Live - In Person Events

WCSUG holds evening meetings on a monthly basis to network and socialize with other SAS® users in the Chicago area. The meetings have a casual atmosphere, and resemble a technical happy hour. The evening meetings are held in conjunction with an earlier Webinar presentation.

During the evening meetings, we will review and discuss the presentation given during the Webinar.

WCSUG monthly evening meetings are typically held from 5 to 8 to accommodate the schedules of working professionals and others.

If you want to attend our evening meetings, we ask that you RSVP via Meetup.

Our Webinar Series is a virtual meeting format during which an experienced SAS developer or other SAS® professional will deliver a presentation via GoToMeetings. Many of the presenters are well known SAS® experts and gurus both from the Chicago area, and other SAS® User communities.

Typically the presenters have presented papers at regional or local SAS® conferences, and SAS Global Forum.

We conduct our Webinar meetings in both lunchtime and evening time slots to accommodate the differing schedules of working professionals and students. Limited space is available for these meetings. So, sign up early.

To attend a Virtual Webinar meeting, go to our group page on Meetup, and RSVP for that particular meeting. Prior to the meeting, an email will be sent out with details about logging in, and Audio conference line information. Our meeting software works on iPhones, Android mobile devices as well as laptops and desktops.

webinars Our group conducts regular "Lunch and Learn" webinars. Typically during the noon lunch hour. We are also conducting monthly "Dine and SAS". This event is in the evening for users who can't log in from work.
live events Socialize among other SAS® developers in trendy locations like the W Hotel Living Room Lounge. Often we are invited to corporate headquarters of some of the best brightest analytics teams in the industry.
next events May 26th 2016 - In Person Bootcamp Basics. June 2nd 2016 Lunch Time Webinar. June 14th 2016 Evening Webinar.
